EARLY INTERVENTION SUPPORTS FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD

Our Early Intervention Supports for Early Childhood services assist care-recipients between 0 and 6 years of age with access to specialised and therapy-based services in order to reduce the impact of their impairment on functional capacity.

Your child’s early years are very important as they determine later development.

Areas of functional capacity may include:

  • Communication / language or social skills (speech assistance)
  • Motor development (movement assistance)
  • Cognitive skills
  • Emotional / sensory regulation

These services are delivered by allied-health practitioners including:

  • Occupational Therapists
  • Social Workers
  • Psychologists
  • Educators

It is critical that children with disability / developmental delays receive access to appropriate services as young as possible to optimise outcomes and overcome developmental challenges. Our supports aim to promote the care-recipients and family’s development, wellbeing, and community engagement / participation.
